Growing a living food system on Kaua’i.

Guided by the ahupua’a.

KOA Farms—Kauaʻi Organic Agroecosystems—operates in Niumalu with tilapia fish pond and natural freshwater aquaculture, kalo loʻi (taro crop) agriculture, pasture land and agroforestry. The farm restores relationships among land, water, animals and people.

We bring kalo, blue tilapia, tropical agroforestry and multipurpose water buffalo together in one resilient agroecosystem. We learn from the ahupua’a: care for water, soil, food and community as one connected place.

Nothing is wasted when every part has a purpose.
